Meet Our Team

We’re a team of experienced therapists with passion for helping people gain insight, be more fulfilled, build happy and healthy relationships, and improve their sexual wellbeing.

Our Therapists

Our therapists know that the most important aspect of therapy is the therapeutic relationship. You need to feel comfortable working with us and confident that we can help you, and we need to believe we can.

Di is an Accredited Psychotherapist, specialising in relationship and sex therapy. When she founded Your Time To Talk, she wanted to create a therapy practice that was welcoming and inclusive, and is delighted to say that she has!

Here’s our amazing team…

Amanda is one of our most experienced and qualified therapists. She is sex positive and works with sex workers, survivors of sexual assault, abuse or rape, as well as with kinky and non-monogamous/polyamorous people. Amanda also supports people in overcoming compulsive sexual behaviour.

Charlie started out as an Integrative Counsellor before going on to train as a Relationship Psychotherapist at the renowned NAOS Institute.

Gordon is an Integrative Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist, with a passion for working with cultural differences and diversity in relationships.

Helen is not only a Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist, she is a qualified Pelvic Floor Fitness Instructor – offering pelvic floor therapy that will benefit anyone suffering with conditions linked to pelvic floor weakness, like post-natal recovery, incontinence and prolapse.

Nicole’s background was in mental health and tantric practices before she became a Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist.

Rose and Zoe Karaviotis are experienced Psychotherapists, currently studying for a Masters in Psychosexual Therapy.

And Ella, Ilka, Jem, Lu, Roisin, Sandy and Zoe Yessaian have all completed their Counselling training and are now in their final year of a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychosexaul and Relationship Therapy.

The thing we all have in common is our passion for supporting people in self-exploration and overcoming the difficulties they face.

Many of our therapists offer low-cost therapy, both online and in Bristol, UK.

I'm a down-to-earth, empathic and insightful Psychotherapist working mostly, but not exclusively, with queer, kinky and non-monogamous folk.

I also train and supervise other Relationship and Psychosexual Therapists, both in the UK and worldwide. Unsurprisingly my 'specialist subjects' are relationship diversity, kink/BDSM, and sexuality/sexual fluidity.

I regularly participate in professional development and research myself to ensure my own knowledge and skills remain relevant and up to date. Most recently this has included Neurodivergence, Sex and Relationships; Polygamy and Arranged Marriages; and Islamic Traditions and Laws on Sex and Sexuality.

I'm an Accredited Member of the National Council of Psychotherapists, a Registered Member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT), and a Member of the International Association of Psychosexual Therapists and the International Society For Sexual Medicine.

Psychosexual and Relationship Therapists

Our therapists are fully qualified Psychosexual and/or Relationship Therapists or in their final year of training. They come from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, and between them offer therapy internationally and in four languages: English, Arabic, Portuguese and Spanish.

Helen Bright-Gerrie | Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist | Pelvic Floor Fitness Instructor

I work with individuals and couples of all sexualities and genders in a safe, confidential and professional space.

I believe that mind, body and soul are interrelated and should be treated as one inseparable system.

I have been working with human sexuality since 2012, when I qualified as a Pelvic Floor Health Fitness Instructor, offering pelvic floor therapy to help people resolve pelvic floor related issues without medical intervention. I realised the importance of psychosexual knowledge and it motivated me to qualify as Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist.

I have trained and worked with the top specialists in the field of human sexual health, both clinicians and practitioners in alternative medicine.

I specialise in pelvic floor issues caused by pelvic floor weakness (urinary/fecal incontinence, prolapse (up to grade 2), post-natal recovery, haemorrhoids, overactive bladder and many more), erectile function problems, low libido issues, absence of orgasm, painful sex, sexual traumas and compulsive sexual behaviours.

I am trained in numerous practices and approaches, including scientific and holistic practices, so that I can tailor therapy to meet the needs of every individual.

I'm a Registered Member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT).

Helen's fees depend on the nature of therapy provided.

I provide a space where people dealing with relationship challenges and sexual issues can explore these safely and without judgement, either individually or as part of a relationship. I am a qualified Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist, having completed a two-year Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy in 2022. I am also undertaking continuing professional development in the Developmental Model of Relationship Therapy.

Being an integrative practitioner means I draw upon a variety of therapeutic approaches that I blend to suit the needs of each individual or relationship. My background has involved extensive work overseas, so I'm sensitive to cultural differences and welcome diversity in relationships and sexualities.

I'm passionate about encouraging more men to seek therapy when facing difficulties in their relationships, which, in part, influenced my own decision to retrain as a therapist.

I'm a member of the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists and a Registered Member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT).

Online sessions with Gordon start at £75 for individual psychosexual therapy and £95 for relationship therapy.

Charlie Janes | Counsellor and Relationship Therapist

I originally trained as an Integrative Counsellor, blending a combination of person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive approaches to best suit my clients' needs.

I soon realised that a great deal of my clients' difficulties were founded in their relationships, be it with partners, parents, siblings, friends or work colleagues, so relationship therapy was the natural progression for me.

My hope for all my clients is that they live, or learn to live in a way that is true to who they are, and that they are truly satisfied with. My aim for my therapy sessions is to foster an environment where my clients feel deeply supported, understood, and where they can boldly go on a journey of self discovery with no fear of judgment.

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Relationship Psychotherapy and I'm a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Online sessions with Charlie start at £75 for individual psychotherapy and £95 for relationship therapy.

Nicole Tiska | Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist

I’m an intuitive, nurturing and attentive Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist.

My background is in mental health, as well as traditional yoga and tantric practices. Both underpin my way of working integratively with my clients: holding space for exploration, whilst providing logical and practical ideas to help them better understand and overcome difficulties.

I completed a two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy in 2021.

Over the years, I’ve led numerous workshops and classes on breathwork and mindfulness, exploring the power of being in the present moment, self-love and appreciation, as well as managing anxiety and depression.

I'm a Member of the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists and a Member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT).

Online sessions with Nicole start at £60 for individuals and £80 for relationship therapy.

Sandy Persaud | Associate Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist

I believe connection, intimacy and pleasure are all central to the human experience. Sometimes, however, we need some support to understand ourselves a bit better and how we relate to others in order to achieve those goals.

I work in a trauma-informed and relational way, extending empathy, understanding and warmth in what can sometimes feel like a daunting experience.

I’m in my final year of a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy. My training is integrative, which means I draw on ideas from a number of therapeutic approaches, including Gestalt, systemic therapy, psychosynthesis, transactional analysis. I adapt my approach to suit your needs - one size does not fit all!

I’m able to work with a variety of sexual and relationship issues, centring on cultural, sexual, health and gender diversity, as well as the mind-body connection.

I’m experienced in providing therapy to survivors of sexual trauma, as well as having worked in therapeutic group spaces with migrants, refugees and asylum seeking communities.

I’m a Student member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists.

Online sessions with Sandy start at £30 for individuals and £50 for relationship therapy.

Ilka Kemp-Hall | Associate Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist

Therapy can be a powerful way to bring about positive change in your life, but starting the journey can feel a little daunting, particularly when it comes to talking about sex and relationships. But you don’t have to struggle alone.

I understand how difficult it can be to have the language to talk about these topics and I hope you’ll be able to find the answers you need here.

I advocate a safe, warm, confidential and non-judgemental space to allow you to be authentic and express your thoughts and feelings freely and without reservation.

I support clients with a range of difficulties including sexual functioning issues such as unreliable erections, delayed ejaculation, low desire, painful sex, vaginismus and orgasm difficulties. I also work with compulsive sexual behaviour, fertility, sexual health, sexuality and sexual identity issues, non-monogamy and alternative relationship structures, kink and BDSM, as well as working with clients who are trans, non-binary, fluid or have non-conforming identities.

I believe that everyone should be able to be themselves and welcome all gender identities, sexual orientations, kink preferences and relationship structures.

My role is to help you identify your sexually authentic self; the way you feel about sex, and the relationship you want to have with sex.

I draw from various models of therapy that recognise the uniqueness of the individual and work to help you feel more connected to your emotional, romantic and sexual intimacy. I can help you process the past experiences that are affecting you, and move towards the kind of relationship you want with sex, and to feel empowered in a way that feels right for you.

I hold a Foundation Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy and I’m in my final year at the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology training as a Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist.

I’m a Student member of CORST, the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists.

Online sessions with Ilka start at £30 for individuals and £50 for relationship therapy.

B&W Photo of Zoe Karaviotis, Psychosexual Therapist

Zoe Karaviotis | Associate Psychosexual Therapist

I began my therapy studies 25 years ago, after having counselling myself and being inspired by the profound experience. I realised I had a growing interest for therapy and working people in this unique way.

In particular, I'm passionate about Psychosexual Therapy and the amazing support it can offer people. I'm currently working towards completing a Masters Degree in Psychosexual Therapy.

I have a keen interest in supporting people who wish to explore issues of a sexual nature and I'm open to work with any sexual difficulty or challenge you wish to bring. I work with clients who wish to attend individually or with partners.

Psychosexual Therapy can be an opportunity explore intricate aspects of sexuality, including any confusion or frustrations you may be feeling. I recognise it may initially feel tough to share intimate sexual details or it may feel like a relief to, at last, be able to talk freely and frankly about sex and intimacy without judgement. I aim to quickly help you to feel comfortable within the sessions, creating a private and calm safe space in which I will carefully and compassionately listen to you.

We will work together to empower you to work through any challenges at your own pace. I design treatments and share information specifically for your unique situation, creating positive changes towards having the sex life you want to experience.

I welcome clients of all genders, sexual orientations, relationship styles and erotic preferences.

I'm an Accredited Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), a Professional Accredited Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), and a Student Member of College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT).

Online sessions with Zoe start at £30 for individuals and £50 for relationship therapy.

Sex and relationships are a basic human need and should be given the same priority as any other health need.

I feel passionately that we should all feel able to discuss anything that's troubling us without fear of being judged. But I understand that talking about sex and relationships may be difficult for some people. I provide a judgement-free space and will give you all the time you need to feel comfortable.

I work with people who are experiencing sexual difficulties such as vaginismus, rapid ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, low sexual desire, orgasm difficulties and painful sex. And I work with couples who are finding their relationship challenging.

As a therapist I'm compassionate and empathetic. I work collaboratively with my clients to explore and expand their understanding of new or recurrent challenges they're facing. If you work with me, together we will identify and improve your relationship with sex and intimacy, enhance your wellbeing and bring about positive change.

My approach is humanistic and integrative, meaning I draw on different theories, skills and techniques to best suit an individual’s or a couple’s needs, with the core aim of helping clients feel more connected to themselves or within their relationships.

I'm in my final year of training as a Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist. I'm also a qualified nurse with over 15 years’ experience working within the field of mental health. I also have previous experience of working within sexual health services, specifically within the LGBTQIA+ community.

I have a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Sciences, and extensive experience of working with depression, anxiety, OCD and psychosis.

I welcome clients from all genders, sexual orientations, cultural and religious backgrounds.

I’m a Student member of CORST, the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists.

Online sessions with Zoe start at £30 for individuals and £50 for relationship therapy.

I create a warm, compassionate and safe space where you can freely explore any personal psychosexual issues or challenges within your relationship. Working collaboratively, we will navigate the complexities and challenges you’re facing, together.

I adopt a humanistic and integrative approach, utilising a diverse range of techniques and models.

Currently, I’m in my final year of training for a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy, building upon my Foundation Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

In addition to this, I’ve gained valuable experience through volunteering at The Awareness Centre in Clapham. Here, I provided sessions for individuals seeking guidance on various concerns such as anxiety, depression, and eating disorders, among others. I’ve also worked in a secondary school for individuals with Autism, where I supported young people dealing with issues such as suicidal tendencies, self-harm, chronic pain, and social difficulties.

I’m a Student member of CORST, the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists.

Online sessions with Ella start at £30 for individuals and £50 for relationship therapy.

Jem Stopes | Associate Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist

My first career was in languages – Russian, French, and Czech. In search of greater meaning, I left that behind in 2013 and hitchhiked some 25,000 miles across Europe, Africa and Asia on my own. I came to a halt in 2016 in Bristol and trained in Mediation and then in Non-Violent Communication and began to work as a mediator within inter-personal and professional contexts.

I wanted a way to go deeper with people, and to engage with some of the root causes of the conflicts I was meeting as a mediator. I trained in 2020 as a coach with MOE Foundation and studied an integrative counselling foundation at BCPC (Bath Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I'm now in my final year at the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology training as a Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist.

I was previously worked at MIND’s LGBTQ+ counselling service.

I offer a judgement free space for all genders, sexual orientations, relationship styles, kinks, lifestyles and preferences. I have a strong, and long-standing somatic meditation and movement practice which informs the quality of presence that I bring to this work.

I’m a Student member of CORST, the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists.

Online sessions with Jem start at £30 for individuals and £50 for relationship therapy.

I have a background in dance, mindfulness, and a keen interest in neurobiology in relation to trauma. I work at depth with gentleness and kindness to offer the possibility of change and transformation.

I am now in the final year a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy, which allows me to employ these complimentary qualities into my therapy practice.

I am trained in Relational Life Therapy for working with couples and have been working with people individually, in couples and groups for the past four years.

I’m a Student Member of College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (CORST).

Online sessions with Roisin start at £30 for individuals and £50 for relationship therapy.

Intimacy and connection are fundamental human needs and, as such, I believe the quality of our relationships determine the quality of our life. I’m passionate about helping people have happy, healthy and fulfilling relationships.

Perhaps you’re hurt, lacking trust, dealing with painful issues you can't face alone, struggling in your sex life, repeating the same patterns that make you both miserable, or maybe you've just drifted apart.

I will offer you a safe space to explore and deepen your understanding of what's going on between you, what it is you both wish for in your relationship and how you're going to build it together. Long term relationships are hard work but incredibly rewarding if you take the time to find out how to nurture them and are willing to put the effort in. Let me help you on this journey.

If you’re facing sexual difficulties, this can have a significant impact on your wellbeing and your relationships. As an integrative therapist, I draw from a range of approaches, skills and techniques to best suit the uniqueness of every client and the work we’re focussing on.

I welcome people of all gender identities, sexual orientations, relationship configurations, erotic preferences and cultural backgrounds.

I hold a Foundation Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy and I’m in my final year of a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy.

I’m a Student member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (CORST).

Online sessions with Lu start at £30 for individuals and £50 for relationship therapy. Face-to-face sessions in Bristol are £40 for individuals and £55 for relationship therapy.

Rose Patten | Associate Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist

Therapy, for me, is creating a safe place for my clients to feel comfortable enough to open up and speak without the fear of being judged.

My career path started with a degree in psychology, and evolved into working in HR and Mediation. I felt myself much more drawn to the people side of the job and the individual stories I encountered. This eventually led me into a career in therapy.

Since then, in addition to private practice, I have also worked at an LGBTQI+ charity working with gender, sexuality and identity, and at a rape crisis centre.

I'm currently studying for a Masters Degree in Psychosexual Therapy.

I'm a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a Student Member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT). And I offer therapy in English and Portuguese.

Online sessions with Rose start at £30 for individuals and £50 for relationship therapy.

I offer a supportive, non-judgemental and uncensored space where clients can understand and explore their most intimate psychosexual and relationship difficulties. I work integratively with clients, tailoring sessions and treatments to the unique needs of each individual or couple.

I'm in my final year of training in a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy, following completion of a Foundation Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Previously I worked with the NHS supporting victims of sexual abuse, and in humanitarian work across the world. These roles underpin my capacity to work empathetically with people from all walks of life and my sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic diversity.

Human beings are so diverse, and I value the unique and individual journey of all my clients, welcoming people of all sexualities, gender identities, relationship diversities and erotic preferences.

I am a Student Member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT).
