Our Low Cost Team

Our trainee Psychosexual and Relationship Therapists – Abi, Alex, Dominique, Ella, Helen, Ilka, Mary, Sandy, Scania, Siân and Winnie – have all either completed their Counselling/Psychotherapy training or are experienced mental health practitioners in their final year of a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy. An essential part of this training is gaining experience working in a therapy practice. This enables Your Time To Talk to offer low cost relationship and sex therapy with therapists whose knowledge is fresh and up to date.

Our low cost therapists come from a wide variety of backgrounds and expertise, including counselling and psychotherapy, medical practice, coaching and teaching, social work, mindfulness, and conflict mediation.

The one thing they all have in common is a passion for supporting people in self-exploration, building healthy and happy relationships, and improving their sexual wellbeing.

We have three new low-cost therapists joining the team in April. Their profiles will be on the website soon.

I'm committed to creating a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where you will feel safe to explore your unique experiences when it comes to sex and relationships.

I will strive to help you navigate complex emotions and experiences, fostering self-awareness, healing, and growth.

I work online, so can meet you wherever you are.

My practice is grounded in compassion, inclusivity, and respect for the diverse ways people experience and structure their relationships.

My goal is to support you in building a deeper connection with yourself and those around you.

My journey into therapy began at Cruse Bereavement Care, where I supported clients navigating grief and loss. This experience deepened my understanding of how life’s challenges can impact our sense of self and strain even our closest relationships.

When I decided to focus on psychosexual and relationship therapy, I chose to train in integrative therapy, enabling me to adapt my approach to meet the diverse needs of each client. I firmly believe that no single method suits everyone, and I strive to ensure therapy feels collaborative, inclusive, and supportive of your goals.

In addition to bereavement counselling, I am an Honorary Psychosexual Therapist with the NHS, where I work with individuals and couples on issues such as intimacy, desire, sexual functioning, and communication.

I’m a Student member of CORST, the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists.

Online sessions with Abi cost £35 for individuals and £55 for couples.

ALEX MUSTO

I recognise the need for people to have a safe and supportive environment to discuss their difficulties and desires around sex and relationships, and to facilitate a sense of hope where perhaps there have been difficulties.

My approach is to ensure that you feel comfortable and relaxed. Don’t be afraid to swear, laugh or cry!

I work online, so can meet you wherever you are.

I decided to train as a Psychosexual and Relationship therapist having worked as a social worker for most of my career. Over the years I came to recognise the need for people to have a safe and supportive environment to discuss their difficulties and desires around sex and relationships, and to facilitate a sense of hope where there have been difficulties.

I believe very strongly in the interconnectedness of our sexuality and general wellbeing.

I offer therapy for a wide-range of psychosexual issues including, but not limited to, erection difficulties, orgasm challenges, desire discrepancies, painful sex, BDSM, kink amongst others, and not forgetting some basic sex-ed! I welcome clients from all different background and lifestyles, kinky, non-monogamous, LGBTQIA+ etc.

I understand that talking about sex and relationships can feel awkward and uncomfortable. So my aim is to create a space where you can find answers, and explore your needs and desires without fear of judgement or shame.

I work flexibly and integratively to meet your needs, in a way that takes things at a pace that feels comfortable to you.

As well as being a therapist, I work as a clinical specialist within CAMHS.

I’m a student member of COSRT, the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists, and a Registered Social Worker with Social Work England.

I focus on uncovering the root causes of relational, sexual and emotional difficulties, offering a safe space for exploration, learning, and growth.

Whether it's uncovering emotional patterns or addressing intimacy concerns, I adapt my approach to suit your needs, helping you build healthier connections and a deeper understanding of the dynamics at play.

I work online and in person in Bristol.

I work with people deeply, recognising the importance of relationships, empathy in connection, and intimacy as vital components for our healing, happiness and growth.

As a Relationship Therapist, I draw from various models of therapy to recognise the uniqueness of each partner. However, when working with relationships, my primary client is the relationship and doing what is most beneficial to navigate complexities with professionalism and empathy.

As a Psychosexual Therapist, I can help you process past influences that may be affecting you, as well as issues that might be purely physical. My intention in working with you is that you receive professional, skilful help – there’s only so far we can get on our own. I want you to feel empowered to make a change, in a way that feels right for you.

I bring tools and techniques, intuition and experience to offer useful interventions and fresh approaches.

I offer a judgement-free environment for all genders, sexual orientations, relationship styles, kinks, lifestyles, backgrounds and preferences to overcome challenges you face in your relationships and within sexual intimacy.

ELLA DIXON

I’m passionate about therapy and strive to be empathic, congruent, and genuine with everyone I work with.

I believe in making therapy accessible for everyone, especially sex and relationship therapy. And I'm a firm advocate for sex being destigmatised and removing taboos within society.

I work online and in person in North London.

I work with individuals and couples to overcome difficulties such as vaginismus, rapid ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, low desire or desire discrepancy, and sexual exploration, to name a few. I understand, though, that the idea of talking to a stranger about anything related to sex can be scary. For some people, sex is a source of pleasure and intimacy but for others, it can be a source of anxiety and stress.

I also help couples improve communication and find healthier ways to resolve conflict.

My approach to therapy is integrative, which means I draw on many different ways of working, depending on your needs.

I’m in my final year of studying for an Advanced Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy.
Before I began my career as a therapist, I worked for a very well-known sex toy and lingerie company.

I’m a Student member of CORST, the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists.

I work online and in North London.

Online sessions with Ella cost £35 for individuals and £55 for couples. In-person sessions in North London cost £40 for individuals and £60 for couples.

I understand how difficult it can be to have the language to talk about these topics and I hope you’ll be able to find the answers you need here.

I support clients with a range of difficulties including sexual functioning issues such as unreliable erections, delayed ejaculation, low desire, painful sex, vaginismus and orgasm difficulties. I also work with compulsive sexual behaviour, fertility, sexual health, sexuality and sexual identity issues, non-monogamy and alternative relationship structures, kink and BDSM, as well as working with clients who are trans, non-binary, fluid or have non-conforming identities.

MARY OXBOROUGH CLARKE

Finding the right person to talk to can be tricky, especially when it comes to talking about sex and relationships.

As a mother and military spouse, I have experienced challenges in both these areas, and understand the importance of having a safe and open space to explore and move forward positively.

I work online and in person in Bristol and Oxford.

Each person is unique, and the therapy we offer them should be bespoke to them and their needs. This is why I take an integrative approach to practice.

Grounded in empathy, I combine techniques from different therapeutic schools of thought allowing me to provide tailored support that meets each individual’s unique needs. It allows for the exploration of desires, encourages self-awareness, and I hope fosters healing and growth.

I strongly believe in accessibility. Every individual should have the opportunity to have flourishing sexual and relational experiences irrespective of their background or identity.

I started my therapy journey with Cruse, a bereavement charity. I supported clients who were in the depths of grief and loss. I saw firsthand the impact a compassionate and dedicated ear could offer and how such an experience can fundamentally change who we are and how we relate to others.

I’m a Student member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists.

I offer a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can fully be yourself—whatever your gender, sexual orientation, relationship style, or erotic preferences.

Together, we’ll explore the challenges you face in your relationships and with sex, with openness and compassion.

I work online and in person in Poole, Dorset.

After qualifying as a Therapeutic Counsellor, I felt something was missing a deeper, more spiritual element to the counselling process. This led me to train as a psycho-spiritual psychotherapeutic counsellor, using a transpersonal approach. This means I look at all aspects of people’s lives – mental, physical, social, emotional, creative, and intellectual, with an emphasis on the role of a healthy spirit in healing.

I am strongly influenced by Internal Family Systems (IFS). IFS helps people understand and heal their ‘wounded parts’ and identify the parts that try to control and protect them from the pain of their wounded parts.

Additionally, I am a trained sound therapist, using the gong for meditation and relaxation in the community. This sometimes comes into the therapeutic space for grounding and somatic experiencing.

I’m in my final year of a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy.

I’m a Student member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists.

SIÂN JONES

I am deeply committed to supporting people in their search for connection and authenticity within themselves and in their relationships.

I love to share new ideas and tools as a way of understanding what is happening for you, whilst firmly believing that you are the expert on your experiences, and you get to decide what to do with the ideas I share.

I work in person in Bristol.

I work with individuals and partners in relationships on everything from communication and conflict, loss of intimacy, and differences in desire, to pain on penetration, vaginismus, erection and ejaculation concerns, and compulsive sexual behaviour.

As a long-time queer sex educator, I am fascinated by the transformative experiences that help us get unstuck from other people’s stories of how we “should” be, and help us reach a deeply felt understanding of what actually feels good.

My work is pleasure-centred, curious and uses a queer lens to ask what do you really want?

WINNIE HUGHES

I’m passionate about creating a safe, non-judgmental space for folks to explore any complexities surrounding intimacy and relationships that they wish to bring.

And I’m deeply inspired by the belief that navigating the complexities of intimacy, desire, and connection is vital to our overall well-being.

I work online and in person in Bristol.

I view relationships as mirrors that reflect our strengths and weaknesses, offering us opportunities for growth and self-discovery.

Before training as a psychosexual and relationship therapy, I worked for four years as an Occupational Therapist in the NHS. This experience allowed me to approach people holistically, understanding the profound impact that our daily activities have on our wellbeing and sense of identity.

Following this, I trained as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT), a modality that complements psychosexual and relationship therapy by focusing on the interplay between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.

With eight years’ experience working in the NHS, I’ve had the privilege of supporting a diverse range of individuals. My work has included providing therapy for LGBTQI+ folks, individuals with neurodiversity, and those who have experienced trauma. My experience has shaped my understanding of the unique challenges and strengths that each person brings to therapy.

In addition to my CBT training, I have trained in Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I incorporate these approaches to help clients develop self-compassion, accept their experiences, and commit to actions that align with their values. My personal practice of mindfulness further enriches my therapeutic work, enabling individuals to tune in to themselves, which I believe is imperative for forming healthy, fulfilling relationships.

I strive to create a therapeutic space that respects the complexity of each individual’s journey, helping them to build stronger connections with themselves and others.

I’m a Student member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists.
