“Whenever you find yourself doubting how far you can go, just remember how far you have come. Remember everything you have faced, all the battles you have won, and all the fears you have overcome.”

Inclusive and affordable relationship and sex therapy

Your Time To Talk is a down-to-earth therapy practice that specialises in relationship and sex therapy. We work affirmatively with diversity, especially gender, sexual, erotic and relationship diversity.

We believe therapy should be available to everyone, so our Associate Therapists offer low cost psychosexual and relationship therapy that is more affordable for those on low incomes or in training. And because we work online – as well as in several locations in England – we can work with you wherever you are.

Relationship therapy

Positive relationships contribute to a long, healthy and happy life. But what if things aren’t going so well? Relationship therapy can help with all sorts of relationship problems, like infidelity, poor communication, conflict, cultural and religious differences, loss of intimacy and sexual connection.

We work with all styles of relationships: with people in monogamous and multi-partnered relationships (non-monogamy, polyamory, etc). And we’re experienced in working with kinky folk too.

Sex therapy

Using a bespoke blend of psychotherapy, psychosexual education and supported behavioural change, psychosexual therapy (or simply ‘sex therapy’) can help you understand and overcome any sexual concerns you may have.

These include erectile difficulties; rapid, delayed or absent ejaculation; vaginismus and painful sex; anxiety or fear around sex; loss of desire or arousal; inability to orgasm, and out of control sexual behaviour (sometimes called sex or porn addiction).

Psychotherapy

We all find life hard at times.

Psychotherapy can help you make sense of your feelings and understand yourself and your life better. In time, you will feel more confident and in control, and find a way forward.

We work with people facing difficulties such as anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, low self-esteem, stress, emotional, physical or sexual abuse, and trauma.

Our team

I’m Di, the Director of Therapy at Your Time To Talk. I’m an Accredited Psychotherapist, and Relationship and Sex Therapist. I’m also a Supervisor and Tutor for other counsellors and psychotherapists.

As well as me, there’s our team of excellent therapists: Abi, Alex, Amanda, Candice, Charlie, Ella, Gordon, Ilka, Imale, Jem, Milly, Nicole, Roisin, Sandy, Winnie and Zoe. And there’s Keeley, our Practice Administrator, who keeps everything running smoothly.

How we work

Everyone is unique, so we tailor our approach to focus on your individual needs. One session may be more about talking and exploring, while the next may be focused on tools and techniques. There will inevitably be ‘homework’ too.

We will never rush you. It’s important that we go at your pace.

Some people feel ok after a few sessions; for others it could be six months, a year or more. You might want to work with a therapist for a set number of sessions to work through a particular issue. Or maybe you want to explore yourself, your relationships and your life more deeply, so longer-term therapy might be right for you.

Low-cost Psychosexual Therapy, Relationship Therapy, and Counselling is offered for up to 20 sessions.
